residual of left hemiplegia from a stroke

My name is Dennis and had a right brain stem stroke 12-10-09, left hemiplegia. I can now walk with a lower leg brace, the left arm flops around and my left hand is competely useless. My speech is slurred as well.
I am 63, retired. I reached a plateau with therapy last March. I have prayed, exercised my arm/hand with the right one, researched alternative therapies, almost all beyond my reach financially and geographically, remained encouraged despite that.
