Prayers for Prosperity

Dear God -

I surrender my financial affairs and concerns about money to your Divine care and love.

I ask that you remove my worries, anxieties and fears about money, and replace them with faith.

I know and trust that my debts will be paid and money will flow into my life.

I have only to look to nature to see proof of the abundance you provide.

I release all negative thoughts about money, and know that prosperity is my true state.

I commit to being grateful for all that I now have in my life.

I learn to manage my finances wisely, seeking help where needed.

And finally, I ask you to help me to understand my purpose in life and to act on that purpose with courage and strength. I know that prosperity will come, in part, by doing work I love. Please help me use my skills and knowledge to be of service in the world. Thank you God. Amen

There is a great deal of research that indicates if you want to create a new paradigm in your life, repeat that “new thing” every day for thirty days. My suggestion for working with the Prosperity Prayer is that you say it at least once a day for a month. Say it quietly to yourself or out loud. Write it down on a slip of paper so you can read it when you begin to feel old worries about money arise.

Prayers for prosperity is about trusting God and putting Him first. Acknowledging Him in all your ways and relinquishing control of every aspect of your life.

At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

Now, O LORD my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”

The speech pleased the LORD, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you.

And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” (1 Kings 3:5-14 NKJV)

Prosperity Prayers - Prayer According to Jabez

Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. (1 Chronicles 4:9-10 NKJV)

Seeking God's Will

Indeed, these prayers are very similar, but how? Well, first of all they were spoken out of a love for the truth and were borne in humility of spirit. Secondly, they were not self-centered, but were uttered with a desire to obtain what is good for the sake of all. And finally, because they were pleasing to God they were answered.

Many people view prayer as a means to connect with God for personal gain. Thus they desire to prosper in worldly affairs while failing to understand that true prosperity is reaped as a result of storing treasure up in heaven. Not by hoarding worldly wealth.

When we pray to God it should not be for the purpose of wanting to become great among men or to stand in the spotlight of worldly prowess, but for the purpose of seeking His good will and excelling in righteousness.

Do you want God to give you wisdom? Do you want Him to enlarge your territory? Do you want to prosper? He will give you these things; but only on the condition that you ask Him to fill your heart with His desires for you. For without His counsel there is no wisdom, and without His presence our territory is worthless. True wealth is not incurred by worldly pursuits, but by seeking first God’s kingdom and His righteousness in all matters that pertain to life. So if you are seeking to prosper for the wrong reasons then don’t expect God to give you what you want. But if you are seeking these things with a pure heart then you can be sure to know that you will get exactly what you need to fulfill His desires for you. And that, my friend, is true prosperity!

Prosperity Prayers

Oh if our prayers would be uttered with the intent to become all that God desires for us to be we would truly come to understand what it means to prosper, and what it means to be blessed, and what it means to walk with God.

Are you looking for prosperity? Then don’t look to the world in order to obtain it, but look to God instead. For the kind of prosperity that the world has to offer to you will burn up one day. But the prosperity that God desires to give to you will never fade or falter in strength.

If you want what God wants for you then you will need to walk with Him. For His presence within our lives is enough. There is no need for anything else but what He has already given to us through Jesus Christ.

Pray according to His will and you will not only see that He will grant your requests; you will also discover that you are in need of nothing because He “shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 NKJV)
