my wife..paralysis from stroke

wife Susan on right
On Feb 6 of this year, while enjoying a Sat off together playing cards at the kitchen table, my wife stood up and did not move. After a few moments I asked her if she was ok, but her response was slured. I repeated my question with the same result, only this time the left side of Susan's mouth was drooping. I instantly knew my wife was having a stroke. I screamed for her to sit back down but she would not move. I grabbed the phone, and dialed 911 to summon the medics. During this time, Susan tried to take a step but fell hard front down. That was almost five months ago. Susan has yet to come home, and is presently at a Skilled Nursing Center with full left side paralysis. To go along with this, she suffers from constant nerve pain in the affected limbs.
Susan is a person who most fall in love with the moment they meet her. She is so positive and uplifted in all ways. We have been married 28 wonderful years, and besides loving each other more with each day remain best friends, always trying to be there for the other. We love tradition. On our wedding night, we stayed at a beautiful Hotel on the Seattle waterfront. We liked it so much that we committed to go back there every year on our anniversary. This past Jan 9 was the 29th consecutive evening counting our wedding night that we stayed there. We have never missed an anniversary. I love Susan more than life itself. The doctors and therapists are hinting that we need to accept the fact that because of the time that she may never get the movement back. My answer back is that I put my faith in God and not man. God gave the doctors the gift of medicine and all they know, but God did not teach them all that He knows! I believe God will heal Susan. Although my faith remains strong, my body and health is becoming worn down. To add to the trauma, we are liquidating our small 401 retirement accounts to pay the almost $10K associated with her stay. These funds will run out soon. Susan just retired in Nov, while I am still of working age, although have been unemployed for over a year and soon to run out of benefits. Although we believe in miracles and know that God could totally restore Susan, if He were to give her back only the ability to walk, she could come back home. If not, she will probably have to stay in a nursing home as she requires max assist which I could not provide. I ask the compassion of all of you who read this that you will pray for Susan to be healed, and know that as I write this I am asking the Lord our God to meet your special needs and petitions as well. In Jesus name I ask this..Amen.
